Alchemist’s Dungeon is a side project by Dark Tales — a return to our origins, where oil and wax-based scents draw inspiration from witchcraft and alchemy.
Crafted entirely from 100% natural ingredients, these creations are not made for fashion but for ritual, meditation, and reflection.
Each potion is designed to accompany personal rites, creative practice, or to scent and sanctify your sacred space.
A journey back to the roots of aromatic craft — where scent becomes ritual, and alchemy stirs within every drop.
What is an Alchemist's Potion?
It is a carefully prepared blend—traditionally herbs, resins, woods, flowers, and oils—made with a specific purpose in mind. In old alchemical thinking, it wasn’t “magic juice,” but a formula that transforms: mood into focus, space into sanctuary, intention into a daily practice.
So a potion is both craft and ritual. It’s measured, built in layers, and “sealed” so it holds its character over time. In modern use, an alchemist’s potion can simply be a natural scent oil used for meditation, grounding, creative work, or personal rites, where fragrance becomes the working.

PURPOSE & EFFECT
Shadow-and-sanctuary: a dark opening (cocoa/coffee), a temple-resin core (myrrh/benzoin), and a soft seal (aged vanilla). It’s made to deepen focus, protect the space, and hold a calm, serious atmosphere.
• Dark Cocoa
Purpose: Grounding through sacred bitterness. Cocoa has a long ceremonial history and was treated as a precious, set-apart material—offered, shared, and used to mark important moments. In craft terms, it works like a “dark door”: it turns the attention inward and lowers the noise of the outer world.
Effect: Containment. Warm privacy. A steadying pull that makes a space feel closed to distraction.
• Myrrh
Purpose: Purification, consecration, and boundary-making. Myrrh has been burned and infused for rites of transition—cleansing, mourning, devotion, and protection. In alchemical language, it behaves like a clarifier: it strips away what is stale, so what remains feels clean and deliberate.
Effect: Clears the air energetically. Brings stillness and gravity. Excellent for meditation, oath work, threshold work, and “resetting” a space.
• Aged Vanilla
Purpose: Gentle binding and soft stability. Vanilla is not a loud sweetness here—it functions as the coagulation principle: it smooths, unifies, and helps the working hold together over time. “Aged” vanilla in particular reads as mature warmth rather than dessert.
Effect: Comfort without looseness. Emotional steadiness. It makes the blend feel continuous, like a veil that stays in place.
• Coffee
Purpose: Wakefulness, direction, and divination. Coffee has been used in folk practice to sharpen attention, support long work, and in cup/grounds reading traditions to pull messages from pattern and residue. In a potion, it acts like a spark of discipline.
Effect: Cuts through mental fog. Gives forward motion. Helps focus without turning the energy frantic.
• Benzoin
Purpose: Blessing, purification, and sealing. Benzoin has a long history as incense—used to sweeten and stabilize a space after cleansing, and to “close” a working so the atmosphere stays settled. It’s the resin of closure and blessing.
Effect: Warm protection. A settled room-feel. It seals the edges, so what you set doesn’t scatter.
The general effect
A dark sanctifying charm with a resin-sealed finish. It clears the space, steadies the mind, and leaves a warm, watchful calm behind. Think: focus, protection, and quiet ritual gravity—alchemy that works through atmosphere, not performance.
