Dark Tales offers bespoke perfume development for businesses, brands, hotels, boutiques, private labels, events, and creative projects seeking a distinctive olfactory identity.

Each fragrance is created individually, guided by the client’s vision, aesthetic world, target audience, and intended use. Whether the scent is designed as a finished perfume, a limited edition, a signature brand fragrance, or part of a wider sensory concept, the process begins with a careful study of the brief.

Perfumer Arina Franzén works across a wide range of scent styles, allowing most creative briefs to be explored and developed. However, every project is still reviewed and approved individually to ensure that it is a suitable match for our artistic direction, technical capacity, and working process.

Business bespoke perfume development starts from 45,000 SEK excl. VAT / approx. €4,100 excl. VAT.

Every request is analyzed individually. As each project differs in complexity, technical requirements, ownership structure, and commercial purpose, the final price is quoted after reviewing the full scope of the project.

The Process

The creation begins with a detailed consultation and project brief. We explore the desired atmosphere, olfactory direction, brand identity, target market, and practical requirements of the fragrance.

From there, the perfume is developed as an original composition. We may begin with several directions or variations based on the brief, then refine the chosen direction until the final fragrance is complete.

The formula can also be adapted to the client’s intended price point, including the desired budget per ml for the finished concentrate.

We do not create copies or imitations of existing perfumes.

Documentation

Every finished and approved formula includes final allergen documentation and IFRA conformity documentation for the intended product category.

For clients planning to place the finished product on the European market, we can also assist with preparing the fragrance for official EU cosmetic compliance. This support is quoted individually depending on the product format, documentation needs, and level of assistance required.

Production

Dark Tales does not offer full-scale industrial production.

However, we can create and supply the finished perfume concentrate, which may be shipped to the client or to the client’s chosen manufacturer or filling partner.

For selected projects, we may also offer small-batch filling in-house, usually from 100–200 bottles. This is quoted separately depending on the fragrance format, bottle type, packaging requirements, and production scope.

Ownership & Confidentiality

Unless otherwise agreed, Dark Tales retains the rights to the formula. Exclusive ownership or full formula transfer may be purchased separately.

Any formula created for a client remains confidential and will never be reused, copied, developed, or reproduced for another fragrance.

Formula ownership, exclusive use, private label rights, perfumer credit, and other commercial terms are agreed individually before the project begins. These details may affect the final price and will be discussed as part of the proposal.
