SCENT PROFILE:
A cold, smoky-woody fragrance inspired by the witches’ flight toward Blåkulla across the dark sea. It opens with pale smoke, cold air, and airy florals, like the first rush of night wind as the land disappears below. Behind them, campfires burn along the shore, leaving trails of smoke and embered wood in the distance. The scent drifts into sea salt, soft woods, balsamic resin, and clean conifer notes, before settling into a dark, dry base of smoked leather, resinous woods, and soft musks — like a shadow crossing the water beneath a cold northern sky.

The bottle is finished with a transparent spray tube for a cleaner visual experience—after the first use, the air bubble will disappear, and the tube will become nearly invisible.

BLÅKULLA belongs to Swedish witch folklore — the distant, mythical place where witches were believed to travel through the night, most famously around Easter, but also in the darker beliefs surrounding Valborg. On Valborgsmässoafton, the night before May Day, the border between spring light and old darkness was thought to grow thin. Witches, spirits, and unseen forces were believed to move through the air, while people lit great fires to protect homes, animals, and villages from what could not be seen.
This is not the Blåkulla of playful Easter postcards, but the colder flight of old superstition: witches crossing the northern sky, leaving the land behind as smoke rises from the bonfires below. The sea opens beneath them, black and wind-struck, while the last glow of Valborg fires burns along the shore. Behind their backs are embers, ash, and human protection; ahead lies the hidden place of gathering, fear, and forbidden knowledge.
BLÅKULLA captures that flight toward the legendary island: cold air, sea salt, pale smoke, dark woods, and the fading warmth of campfires left behind. It is the scent of Valborg from above — not the fire itself, but the movement away from it, across the dark water, toward the old Swedish myth.
